Kindergarten Visitation

Dear Parents & Guardians;

Thatcher Brook Primary School invites your child, who will be entering this fall, to join us for Kindergarten visitation. This is an opportunity for your child to visit the Kindergarten classrooms and teachers with the goal of helping to make the transition to Kindergarten  more comfortable for both you and your child.

On Tuesday, June 13  incoming Kindergarteners will meet the Kindergarten teachers and school administrators, visit the classrooms, and tour the school building. Your child can ride a school bus with one of the principals or join us directly at the school if your child prefers not to ride the bus.  Parents are welcome to join, but it is not required.

Upon arrival, incoming Kindergarteners will be greeted by the Kindergarten teachers: Pattie Casari, Anet Hammett, Andrew Emrich, Amy Kahofer, and Celia Hooker. They will have a story time, tour  the classrooms, and meet current kindergarten students.  In addition, they will rotate through the Integrated Arts programs (“specials”):  music with Lizzy Carlson , art with MK Monley, library with Nancy Daigle, and P.E. with Carol Baitz.  Lastly, they will tour the building and administrative offices, as time permits.

Parent volunteers and the principal will remain with the children for the entire morning.  Denise Goodnow  will be on the bus transporting the children.
