Reading Eggs:
Thatcher Brook Primary School has registered with Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress, the online program designed to motivate and excite your child about reading. This means your child can now use Reading Eggs and Reading Eggpress at home.  Reading Eggs is designed for students ages 4-7, while Reading Eggspress is designed for students 7-13.
Students can access the program by going to the Thatcher Brook Primary School website..
Look under the tab for students and select http://readingeggs.com. Your child would then log in by using their lunch number followed by .wd.  The password is “tbps”.
For example:
Login Name:    11189.wd   (lunch number followed by .wd)
Password:  tbps  (all students have the same password)
There is also a free app that can be downloaded to the Ipad, entitled Reading Eggs.   We hope you enjoy using this program with your child.

Raising HOPE at Davey & Dac:
Calling all Good Cookies! Please help us “Bake a Difference” to raise $ and awareness for Childhood Cancer during September, Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Join fellow Good Cookies in supporting Vermont’s 3rd Annual Bake Sale by baking and buying Cookies
Bake Sale on Saturday Sept. 26 at Hope Davey (9am) and Dac Rowe (10 am) Parks.
What we need: Dozens of generous sized Cookies (Bake Sale favorites are chocolate and double chocolate chip, oatmeal, M&M and sugar (no frosting, but dried icing and sprinkles ok). No need to wrap individual cookies, as we will package them.
When: Please drop cookies off on Friday, Sept. 25
Where: Cookies Drop off Stations are TBPS & CBMS school offices, or by arrangement.
Why: Childhood Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the US. There is a lack of effective therapies for ONE reason-the lack of funding!
How: One Good Cookie at Time! Cookies for Kids’ Cancer (CFKC), a nonprofit, funds childhood cancer research grants resulting in promising new treatments!
Not a baker? That's okay. We hope all Cookie Monsters will come out and buy some cookies at our bake sales on Saturday 9/26 during Waterbury Youth Soccer games. Help us raise important funds by dropping extra “dough” in our donation jar. Please spread the word. Check out cookiesforkidscancer.org to learn more.
Who: Madeline Sullivan-Drake and Laurie Flaherty (drakesvt@gmail.com)
